The Beer Can Racing app offers a user-friendly interface designed for sailors looking to enhance their navigation experience. Users can create their sailing routes by utilizing either virtual marks or their club's Local Race Marks. The application allows for the input of True Wind Direction (TWD) and computes the corresponding True Wind Angle (TWA) for each leg of the race.

With a database of pre-entered Local Race Marks specific to various regions, users have the flexibility to choose familiar reference points or manually specify mark locations. The app meticulously incorporates local Magnetic Variation into all calculations, ensuring accuracy in navigation.

Additionally, the app features a TWA Calculator, which proves particularly useful during challenging situations, such as when fatigue affects mental clarity—an all-too-familiar scenario in offshore racing contexts.

For those who prefer detailed route planning, the ability to enter race courses using Bearing and Distance to the next mark, in conjunction with TWD, adds another layer of precision to the navigation process.
